Ms Pearsall is a very caring and understanding doctor who will always give the length of time needed to each patient. She is always cheerful and positive with her pre and post-op care being exemplary. I have every confidence in her, her expertise and treatment and am very pleased my eyes are in her hands.

My past experience of the eye department at Whipps Cross Hospital has not been good, however at the beginning of this year Ms Pearsall became my new consultant and my treatment experience changed completely. She takes the time to talk, and explain. She treats me as an individual, in the past as a patient at a busy NHS hospital I was made to feel as “just another case” this has never been the case with Ms Pearsall who constantly goes the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and reassured with my treatment. Her approach to her work seems also to have rubbed off on rest of her eye treatment team who now appear great deal more approachable and upbeat .I cannot recommend Ms Pearsall highly enough.

Such kind words!! We work so hard as a team and never forget that although our interface with each patient at consultation may be short in relation to our working day - it is important as it is an opportunity to allay anxiety, question and plan their care - and such an important episode in each patient's life - so it has to be a positive experience both clinically and emotionally. We thank you for such recognition.

I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes done by Tahmina. I have never met a more caring, kind and wonderful consultant in all my years. She is more than just your everyday consultant because she goes that extra mile for her patients. I was very nervous about my surgery as well as anxious, but Tahmina and I spoke nearly everyday for weeks before both my procedures. Not only did she put my mind at rest by taking her time to talk and explain every step of the surgery to me to reassure me and put my mind at rest. She was just brilliant and I would recommend her to anyone that needs surgery to their eyes. She has now become a great friend, and always finds time to talk to me should I need to speak to her. She's just amazing! A great lady.

Thank you so much! Eyes are so precious and it is understandable to feel anxious - hopefully we covered all angles and it was an honour and pleasure to carry that burden of anxiety for you. I can assure my patients that "getting it right" is critical to me and each one are amazing individuals. Enjoy!

Ms Tahmina Pearsall saved my mum's sight. When we walked into the clinic we did not know the seriousness of my mum's glaucoma and how high the pressure was. Ms Pearsall upon seeing my mum acted quickly and so professional, within minutes my mum was booked in for an operation. Her empathy towards my mum was outstanding. I have never met such a dedicated, kind and warming person. We owe her so much. Thank you Ms Pearsall . We and other patients are so blessed to have you as our Consultant and knowing we are in such good and caring hands.

That is so kind but the true pleasure is seeing that my patients achieve their goals - remember it is a team effort! Especially when the road ahead looks so turbulent we ride that storm together and we face the challenges. Without you working with me we certainly could not do it - so well done!!

What a lovely lady! Tahmina has looked after me really well and very much gone that extra mile to ensure that my recent cataract surgery went really well. I have to admit to having been a bit of a big wuss! I was probably a "difficult" patient who asks too many questions but Tahmina was incredibly patient with me (I'm supposed to be the patient, aren't I?) and met my various questions with good humour and good plain common sense. My own profession involved working with optics and I found that my experience of high definition television had a number of parallels with the eye surgery that I underwent. After all, our eyes are natural cameras aren't they? Because of my severe astigmatism, I was recommended by Tahmina to have special toric lens implants. These are not available on the NHS. Fortunately I have private health insurance so this all got sorted out. Tahmina was very helpful here as well. The thing that probably makes her stand out from the others is the pre-and after care that I received. Tahmina has phoned me quite a few times, usually whilst driving home from her car, to check how everything is going and to be on hand to answer any questions, of which I had quite a few more. On the day of the surgery for the first op, I was more than a little apprehensive and Tahmina was reassuring and went to great lengths to explain what she was doing throughout the procedure. I cannot say that the surgery was a pleasant experience because it was most definitely not, but all went well and Tahmina took the trouble to phone me that evening and on several other evenings as the treatment progressed and to check how I was healing up. For me, the outcome of the actual operations were a great success. Her skill in eye surgery is very evident. No wonder she is one of the top Opthalmological Consultants in the country. The conscientious approach that she took and the way that she treated me was way beyond the call of duty as far as I was concerned. If you are reading this with a view to checking out Tahmina's credentials, I cannot praise her highly enough. I would give her six stars if I could. I am also extremely grateful to her. A lovely lady!

You were an absolute delight to treat and have thoroughly enjoyed our journey! I can say hand on heart your consultations were challenging but fun.... and completely honest - you expressed the anxiety that all patients feel and walked through it bravely. I am so pleased we achieved a great outcome and most of all pleased that it has given you that great lease on life!!
